An Orgasmic Learning Session is a private, one-on-one online session with Dr. Suzanne Mulvehill, Clinical Sexologist and Orgasmologist.

During the session, we'll explore your experience through the Orgasmic Learning Framework and identify practical next steps based on your individual situation.

Is an Orgasmic Learning Session Right for You?

This session may be helpful if you:

  • Have tried other treatments or approaches and are still struggling with orgasm difficulty
  • Have experienced orgasm in the past but have lost access to it
  • Experience orgasm inconsistently or feel that you have to work very hard to reach it
  • Find yourself wondering why orgasm seems easier for other women
  • Want to better understand your own orgasmic response
  • Want help identifying what you might try next

A Different Way to Think About Orgasm Difficulty

Orgasm difficulty is often approached by asking what is blocking a woman from orgasming and trying to identify what needs to be fixed or removed.

The Orgasmic Learning Framework asks a different question:

What does she need in order to gain access to orgasm?

Orgasmic Learning focuses on helping a woman access an altered, absorbed, or otherwise orgasm-supportive state in which the nervous system becomes more receptive to orgasm.

That state becomes an important therapeutic target.

For some women, accessing that state may be enough for orgasm to occur very quickly, sometimes even for the first time.

For others, the process may require repeated experiences so the brain and body can learn and strengthen a new orgasmic pathway through neuroplasticity.

The goal is to identify the conditions that help your nervous system enter an orgasm-supportive state and then give your brain the opportunity to learn from that experience.

What Happens During the Session?

When you book your appointment, you'll answer several brief questions about your current orgasm experience and what you would most like help with.

During our 60 minutes together, we can explore:

  • Your current orgasmic experience
  • What has and has not worked for you
  • Situations in which orgasm feels more or less accessible
  • Possible factors interfering with orgasmic access
  • Conditions that may support your orgasmic response
  • Evidence-informed Orgasmic Learning approaches that may be relevant to you
  • Practical next steps you can explore after the session
  • Anything else you need or want to talk about related to your orgasmic experience

Meet Dr. Suzanne Mulvehill

Suzanne Mulvehill, PhD, MBA is a Clinical Sexologist, Orgasmologist, researcher, and Founder and President of the Female Orgasm Training Institute.

She also understands orgasm difficulty personally.

After experiencing orgasm difficulty for more than 30 years and seeing four different sex therapists during that time, Dr. Mulvehill began experiencing reliable orgasm after using cannabis before sex.

The impact on her life was so significant that she sold her international business and returned to school to earn her PhD and study cannabis use before sex and female orgasm.

Her dissertation research found statistically significant improvements in orgasm frequency, ease, and satisfaction among women who used cannabis before sex. During that research, she also discovered decades of earlier scientific literature examining cannabis and sexual function.

That work eventually led Dr. Mulvehill to a much larger question:

“What helps a woman's nervous system become more capable of accessing orgasm?”

Her subsequent research led to the development of the Orgasmic Learning Framework and the synthesis of more than 70 years of research into six Orgasmic Learning pathways.

Although these pathways use different methods, they share an important point of convergence. They appear to help women access an altered, absorbed, or otherwise orgasm-supportive state.

Within the Orgasmic Learning Framework, that state becomes an important therapeutic target, shifting the focus from trying harder to orgasm toward learning how to access the internal conditions in which orgasm becomes more possible.

Dr. Mulvehill is also Executive Director of the nonprofit Female Orgasm Research Institute, which advances research, education, and public understanding of female orgasm and orgasmic difficulty.
